Puppy who needed physical therapy finds a forever home with a woman training to help dogs just like him

Every puppy deserves a loving home, whether they're the biggest in the litter, the smallest, or the one who needs a little extra help. Unfortunately, not everyone sees it that way. Some people look at a puppy with a medical issue and decide they're not worth the trouble, even though that little dog has just as much love to give as any other.

We can't understand how anyone could look at an adorable puppy and decide to abandon him because he isn't exactly what they expected. Puppies aren't products you can return when something isn't quite right. They're living, breathing little troublemakers who need patience, attention, and someone willing to clean up the occasional puddle on the floor.

Thankfully, there are people who see these pups for who they are rather than whatever challenges they might face. Rescue organizations and dedicated adopters give dogs who have been overlooked a chance to grow up surrounded by love, belly rubs, and far too many squeaky toys.

Sometimes, the right human comes along with exactly the skills a dog might need.

One four-month-old puppy recently found himself in a difficult situation after the people who bred him sold his siblings but surrendered him to a local shelter. His ankle extended abnormally, and apparently, that was enough for the breeders to decide they didn't want to keep him.

Luckily, a rescue organization stepped in quickly and arranged the physical therapy he needed. Instead of being left without help, the little guy got a chance to recover and prepare for a happier future.

His next big break came at a puppy yoga event, where he met the human who would eventually adopt him. Two weeks later, he's officially part of the family, and his new owner couldn't be happier.

The timing is especially sweet because his adopter is beginning a career in canine physical therapy. If he experiences problems with his leg in the future, he'll have someone at home who understands how to help him get the care he needs.

The rescue described him as a Labrador and golden retriever mix, although his new human suspects there might be some Great Pyrenees in there, too. Whatever his breed, he's clearly a very handsome boy with a bright future ahead.

He might not have been the puppy his breeders wanted, but he's exactly the dog his new human was looking for.

  • Life is always better with a doggo by your side, especially when that doggo is a Lab! These goofy, lovable pups have a way of making even the most boring days entertaining. Between their endless enthusiasm, wagging tails, and complete inability to understand personal space, there's never a dull moment. Walter looks like he's going to bring his new human a whole lot of happiness, along with plenty of slobbery kisses!

  • Talk about perfect fate! What are the chances that a puppy who needs physical therapy ends up with someone who's starting a career in canine physical therapy? Walter couldn't have found a more fitting human if he'd picked one himself! We love when things work out this perfectly, especially for a sweet pup who had such a ruff start. These two were clearly meant to find each other!
